A few years ago when tension was high in Baltimore, we were out on the streets feeding pizza to protesters and National Guardsmen.
One of the guardsmen wrote us a letter in which he said he saw tensions dissolve as people sat down together to eat pizza.
It was a poignant reminder to us that pizza can do a great deal of good. So we work to incorporate that principle in all we do.
One of our favorite traditions at Joe Squared is honoring a local non-profit or cause each month with a pizza named after them.
We donate proceeds and build awareness for what they are doing. For example, right now we are helping people recover from the Ellicott City flood with our Ellicott City Pizza. Proceeds go to Ellicott City Partnership’s Flood Relief Fund.
Please let us know of organizations that should have a specially-created pizza named after them. We would love to help.
